About The Position
The Literacy Coaching Specialist (LCS) will work at the Northern Indiana Educational Service Center (NIESC). This is a support staff position focused on literacy. The position is grant-funded for two years with no guarantee of extension. The role involves providing literacy coaching and support.
Requirements
- Minimum five (5) years of classroom experience
- Minimum two (2) years of experience as an instructional coach, interventionist, administrator, or in a literacy-related leadership role
- Bachelor's degree in education, literacy, or a related field
- Expanded criminal background check completed prior to the first day of work
Nice To Haves
- Teaching license, administrator license, or equivalent preferred
- Literacy qualification/credential/endorsement/degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide literacy coaching and support to educators.
