About The Position

The Western School District is currently seeking two (2) Literacy Coach Positions. This role is responsible for assisting with literacy instruction inside the classroom. The Literacy Coach will facilitate student success through implementing and assisting the teacher in using the district-approved curriculum. This position will address the specific educational needs of individual and small groups of students as deemed appropriate with guidance from the classroom teacher. The Literacy Coach works closely with the teachers and other Literacy Coaches in the building to assist in providing high-quality literacy instruction and intervention to students in the classroom. The role requires the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with Western Elementary students and staff, and to communicate clearly and effectively with students, teachers, and administration. The Literacy Coach will successfully create plans for leveled literacy groups with teacher guidance.
