About The Position

This position is responsible for providing specialized instructional support to students in the area of literacy and language. The specialist will work with students to identify their needs, develop and implement intervention strategies, and monitor their progress. This role requires collaboration with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure student success.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related field.
• Valid Nevada teaching license with an endorsement in Reading or English as a Second Language (ESL).
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in assessing and intervening with students struggling in literacy and language.
• Knowledge of various literacy and language intervention strategies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Experience with Response to Intervention (RTI) models.
• Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct literacy and language intervention to students.
• Assess student needs and develop individualized intervention plans.
• Implement evidence-based instructional strategies.
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
