About The Position

TES Ohio is seeking a dedicated Intervention Specialist for a full-time, school-based position in the Toledo, Ohio area. The role supports students in overcoming challenges and reaching their potential through small-group and one-on-one instruction in reading, writing, math, and other areas as needed. The specialist communicates ongoing student progress to parents and guardians, general education teachers, school administration, district personnel, and other service professionals through progress reports and Individual Education Plans, and maintains compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Work environments may include classrooms, clinics, and homes. Requirements

Hold a valid credential in Special Education and an Ohio Department of Education (ODE) license.
Clear a current BCI/FBI background check.
Have a current TB test from within the last 12 months.
Hold appropriate automobile insurance with limits that allow driving a personal vehicle for work, including $25,000/$50,000 liability coverage.

Responsibilities

Provide small-group and one-on-one instruction to students requiring support in reading, writing, math, and other areas as needed.
Communicate ongoing student progress to parents and guardians, general education teachers, school administration, district personnel, and other service professionals through progress reporting and Individual Education Plans.
Maintain ongoing compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
