About The Position

Don's & Ben's Liquor Store is seeking full-time associates for Monday through Saturday shifts. The Store Clerk creates a welcoming environment and supports store operations by receiving and stocking shelves, greeting customers, helping them locate products, and answering questions about products and services. The role also involves operating the checkout, maintaining the store, assisting with inventory, and following applicable alcohol laws and company procedures.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have reliable transportation and be reliable and punctual.
• At least six months of proven experience as a cashier or in customer service or retail.
• Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission certification is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, engaging attitude.
• Able to move throughout all areas of the store, including the outside perimeter.
• Able to safely lift up to 40 pounds to waist level and bend down repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, friendly, exceptional customer service.
• Help customers find products and make purchasing decisions.
• Operate cash registers and accurately process cash and credit payments.
• Keep checkout areas clean and tidy, and perform store maintenance such as sanitizing, cleaning, sweeping, and mopping.
• Receive and stock merchandise, including liquor, beer, and wine.
• Help with inventory counts when necessary.
• Enforce TABC and liquor laws, including checking identification, and follow company policies and procedures.
• Open or close the store on time according to its hours of operation.
• Perform other duties as assigned to maintain an effective and profitable store operation.
