Liquor Store Attendant Part Time
About The Position
BJ's Wholesale Club is seeking a Part-Time Liquor Store Attendant to join their team. This role is responsible for processing member purchases, including liquor, lottery, and tobacco sales, in a courteous and friendly manner. Key duties include scanning merchandise, accepting payments, adhering to age requirements, following asset protection guidelines, merchandising and stocking product displays, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the liquor store. The position requires a commitment to delivering excellent customer service, maintaining club standards, and working collaboratively with the team. Team members are expected to act with honesty and integrity, ensure a safe and positive environment, and embrace inclusion and diversity.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- Basic math skills preferred.
- Prior cashier experience preferred.
- Successful completion of all required training and/or certifications.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with AI tools, including ChatGPT.
Responsibilities
- Process member purchases including liquor, lottery and tobacco sales in a courteous and friendly manner.
- Scan merchandise through a point-of-sale system.
- Accept various forms of payments, including cash and check.
- Adhere to state age requirements for liquor, lottery, and tobacco sales.
- Follow asset protection guidelines.
- Merchandise and stock product displays and locations.
- Maintain the overall cleanliness of the liquor store and register area.
- Answer incoming phone calls and product inquiries from members.
- Run lottery machine and sell scratch-off tickets.
- Stay up-to-date on merchandise promotions, advertisements, and product information.
- Redeem coupons.
- Conduct daily inventory counts.
- Place asset protection devices on high shrink merchandise.
- Maintain all club policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
