About The Position

The Liquor Department Clerk position requires an individual to perform essential duties with accuracy and maintain a high level of productivity. This role involves exhibiting and developing customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior, promoting high morale within the department and store through honest and open communication, and maintaining good working relationships with other department managers to improve storewide sales. The clerk must comply with all company policies and directives, provide professional examples for team members, and maintain a clean and organized department that enhances the customer experience. Additionally, the role involves helping to maintain adequate and appropriate department records at all times.

Requirements

  • Certification required for operation of forklift and/or pallet jack.
  • Other city, county, state, or federal certifications may be required.
  • Ability to write, speak, hear, and understand the spoken word to respond promptly to pages, requests, team members and guests.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or related job experience and/or training are preferred.
  • Required to use or operate pallet jack, forklift, box cutters, two-wheeler, six-wheeler, baler, ladder, etc.
  • Previous stocking experience preferred.
  • 21 years of age.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form or when helping resolve a team member or guest concern.
