Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in Business/Finance preferred or H.S. diploma/GED with equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of banking experience preferred with 3+ years of experience in Treasury, Liquidity Risk, Treasury Management, Funds Transfer Pricing, or Commercial Banking preferred (or equivalent demonstrated expertise).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of commercial deposits, pricing, and liquidity behavior, including the ability to interpret macro/market drivers and translate them into portfolio actions.
  • Solid knowledge of Commercial/TM products within ONB’s business model and strategic plan; able to share relevant information across stakeholders while adhering to established policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn, implement feedback and act.
  • Ability to translate data into practical insights for business partners
  • Proven track record of successful interactions and proactive solution support and/or development
  • Ability to work with multiple matters simultaneously, managing time in a fast-paced environment and applicable resources to ensure work is completed efficiently and within established timeframes; manage projects efficiently and effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving and critical thinking aptitude; thorough and timely follow-up skills with the ability to make independent decisions based on researched conclusions
  • Ability to manage matters that may have additional complexity or uncertainty, and adapt to new and different circumstances, including supporting different Relationship Managers/TM (Sales) Consultants with different work styles
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to communicate effectively with various levels in and outside of the organization
  • Ability to synthesize complex data into executive-ready insights, narratives, and recommendations that drive decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and lead through ambiguity with limited day-to-day guidance, prioritizing competing needs and driving outcomes.
  • Fluent with Microsoft Office programs and well as unique software/system knowledge, ONB’s system is preferred
  • Position may require the need to travel to other Old National, client or conference/meeting locations.

Responsibilities

  • The Liquidity Analyst collaborates with the Liquidity team, Treasury Management, Commercial Banking, and Corporate Treasury to support liquidity optimization, enhance deposit stability, and inform balance sheet decisions.
  • This role applies analytical expertise to evaluate deposit trends and liquidity dynamics, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights for business partners.
  • Working across teams, the Liquidity Analyst contributes to strategic initiatives by supporting analysis that informs pricing, product, and portfolio decisions, while advancing ONB’s priorities around organic growth, client experience, and sales effectiveness.
  • The role supports deposit growth and portfolio optimization efforts by analyzing deposit performance, assisting with earnings credit rate evaluations, and partnering with others on the Liquidity team, Relationship Managers, Treasury Management Consultants, and Product teams to develop client-focused liquidity insights.
  • The Analyst helps build and maintain dashboards, reporting, and models, and contributes to analysis of deposit flows across commercial segments.
  • Additionally, the Liquidity Analyst monitors key liquidity and funding trends, identifies emerging risks and opportunities, and escalates insights to senior team members to support informed decision-making.
