About The Position

The Liquid Production Batcher Operator accurately prepares and processes production batches through safe, efficient operation of tanks, kettles, and related production systems. The role includes operating Ambient Tank batches and kettle batching equipment to maintain product quality and production flow, as well as equipment setup, rinsing, sanitation/CIP when required, monitoring, and changeovers. The operator supports daily production schedules while following BRC requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), company SOPs, and safety and quality procedures. The role calls for attention to detail, reliability, teamwork, and commitment to ILLES Foods’ values of integrity, intentional curiosity, and partnership. Specialized equipment qualification, such as heat-exchanger operation, may create opportunities for additional compensation, preferred assignments, or advancement, but lack of heat-exchanger training will not by itself prevent progression due to business needs. The operator may support production across departments, facilities, product lines, and equipment platforms consistent with their skills and qualifications.

Requirements

Food industry experience is required.
High school diploma or equivalent, or ability to obtain one within the specified time.
Adhere to BRC, GMP, company SOPs, and safety protocols, maintaining food safety, quality, and equipment sanitation.
Communicate clearly with team members, QA, and management, and provide guidance and training to new hires.
Actively listen to instructions from supervisors, R&D, and QA and ensure production meets quality and client standards.
Accurately measure and batch raw materials and monitor containers, packaging, and finished goods for compliance.
Adapt to production schedule changes, first-time batches, and equipment or process variations, and support multiple systems.
Use RiteTime, batch sheets, and HMI systems to accurately document production data.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or process issues and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate across departments, train and mentor new hires, and coordinate with QA and R&D.
Address minor operational issues constructively and support smooth workflow and team alignment.
Ability to continuously lift up to 55 pounds vertically from various heights.
Ability to carry up to 55 pounds horizontally over distances up to 70 inches.
Ability to horizontally transfer force up to 100 pounds using a sled over distances up to 45 (unit not specified).
Ability to continuously ascend and descend steps and ladders up to 8 inches.
Ability to stand continuously.

Nice To Haves

2–4 years of product blending experience preferred.
Forklift certification preferred.
Heat-exchanger operation qualification may provide opportunities for additional compensation, preferred assignments, or advancement.

Responsibilities

Batch raw materials accurately according to batch sheets and production instructions.
Operate blending, packaging, and industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
Monitor production processes and equipment through HMI to ensure quality and compliance.
Inspect materials, containers, and finished products to meet quality and packaging standards.
Perform routine equipment cleaning and maintenance in line with safety protocols.
Document production data accurately using RiteTime and batch sheets.
Coordinate with QA for sample collection and testing requirements.
Support first-time production runs in collaboration with R&D.
Train and mentor new team members in batching procedures.
Communicate professionally and uphold food safety, legality, and quality standards.
Support production activities across departments, facilities, product lines, and equipment platforms as business needs require and consistent with skills and qualifications.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance for scheduled shifts.
