Liquid Painter- Reading Truck
About The Position
Reading Truck is seeking an experienced Liquid Painter for our Day Shift. Our Painters work together to complete the painting of specialty truck equipment. Experience required from tech school, industry or personal hobby. Hours: Monday through Thursday 5AM - 3:30 PM with overtime as needed on Friday / Saturday. You will work alongside skilled professionals in a high-volume, quality-focused shop that fabricates commercial and fleet vehicles. We are a leading manufacturer, distributor, and fleet sales expert of premium truck bodies with commercial upfit for vocational markets nationwide, driven by a pioneering attitude and a commitment to innovation.
Requirements
- Experience required from tech school, industry or personal hobby
- Must be willing and able to wear all require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces as needed by sanding and grinding
- Mix, thin, and adjust spray equipment for proper atomization
- Mix paints and primers to exact specifications ordered by the customer
- Apply coatings per recommended thickness
- Quality inspection process for units and parts scheduled to be painted
- Quality inspection on painted units
- Operate paint spraying equipment including pot guns, compressors etc.
- Ensure craftsmanship meets Company quality standards
- Follow all Company safety rules and policies
- Maintain records on paint
- Complete a full and half face fit test- pre-employment
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
