Job Summary The Liquid Cooling Engineering Manager is responsible for leading all engineering activities related to advanced liquid cooling systems within mission-critical or high-density environments. This role provides both technical leadership and operational oversight, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and scalability of liquid cooling infrastructure across sites. The position manages engineering teams, drives system performance, and serves as the subject matter expert (SME) for liquid cooling technologies including direct-to-chip, immersion, and glycol-based systems.

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of experience in mechanical or facilities engineering
  • 3+ years of leadership or management experience
  • Strong expertise in liquid cooling, HVAC, or fluid systems
  • Experience with pumps, heat exchangers, piping systems, and coolant chemistry
  • Proven troubleshooting experience in complex environments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in data centers or mission-critical environments
  • Knowledge of direct-to-chip or immersion cooling
  • Familiarity with CMMS, BMS, or EPMS systems
  • Experience with commissioning large-scale systems
  • Technical certifications or degree in mechanical or HVAC disciplines

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and manage a team of engineers and technicians supporting liquid cooling operations
  • Serve as the technical authority for systems including CDUs, heat exchangers, pumps, piping, and glycol loops
  • Oversee system design, installation, commissioning, and optimization
  • Ensure coolant chemistry programs, leak detection strategies, and system integrity standards
  • Drive preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Monitor system performance including temperature, pressure, and flow
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Establish KPIs, SLAs, and reporting metrics
  • Manage vendors, OEMs, and client relationships
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency, sustainability, and reliability
