About The Position

Vantor is seeking a cleared Systems Engineer to join a mission-critical intelligence organization. This role involves building a High-Performance Computing (HPC) environment from the ground up, providing full lifecycle support for compute, network, and storage infrastructure. The engineer will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including Linux Administrators, DevOps & Infrastructure Engineers, and other Systems Engineers, to support computational design elements involving high-performing Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) and their integration into a new platform. The work directly impacts national security and global issues, offering exposure to advanced technologies like machine learning, artificial intelligence, and advanced data analytics within a dynamic and technologically advanced environment.

Requirements

Active TS/SCI with ability to obtain a CI polygraph.
Bachelor’s degree in network engineering, information systems, computer engineering, or related technical field. Relevant professional experience can substitute in lieu of degree.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in System Administration or systems engineering in a Linux-heavy environment.
Experience supporting DevOps Infrastructure
Experience in the build, operations, and sustainment of LAN/WAN networks
Experience Implementing DOD Cyber Security requirements.
Experience with physical compute and networking hardware
Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and evaluating alternatives to solve complex problems.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Nice To Haves

Exposure to Infiband networks and configuration
Experience with Juniper Network and Security Platforms
At least 5 years’ experience in the above technical qualifications

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and sustain Linux operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
Assist in the design and provisioning of the enterprise network environment.
Prepare and deliver both program and user level documentation for system operations.
Provide technical systems support for project activities.
Monitor for performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Interact with members of the technical team leads.
Understand the current system, subsystems, and component specifications and be able to use experience to recommend changes to facilitate efficient and effective development.
Communicate and share expertise within and across the client’s organizational boundaries.
Work both independently and in small groups.
