About The Position

EverWatch is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to help develop and evolve Linux-based solutions supporting Air Force Intelligence Operations and real-time mission operations across global, multi-infrastructure systems. The role combines Linux troubleshooting, solution development, testing, and implementation, with opportunities to expand into automation, virtualization, cloud solutions, machine learning, and secure access service edge. The position supports a TS/SCI environment and requires a polygraph.

Requirements

• Experience updating, testing, and validating changes to systems.
• Experience with system security hardening and patching for Linux systems and workstations.
• Knowledge of system administration interdependencies specific to RHEL 8 and RHEL 9 systems and administration of Linux-based workstations.
• Knowledge of GitLab and Ansible.
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, information technology, information systems, or engineering and 5+ years of experience administering Linux-based systems and workstations; alternatively, a high school diploma or GED and 7+ years of that experience.
• DoD 8570-compliant IAT Level II or III certification, such as Security+.

Nice To Haves

• Experience creating Linux-based solutions for customer requirements.
• Experience using health and status monitoring software, including Nagios.
• Experience supporting U.S. government customers, preferably within the U.S. Intelligence Community.
• Experience with Linux scripting languages.
• Knowledge of network concepts and switch/firewall configurations.
• Master’s degree.
• Red Hat Linux Certification.

Responsibilities

• Update, test, and validate changes to systems.
• Perform security hardening and patching for Linux systems and workstations.
• Develop Linux-based solutions to meet customer requirements.
• Support and administer RHEL 8 and RHEL 9 systems and Linux-based workstations.
• Apply Linux troubleshooting, solution development, testing, and implementation to meet real-time Air Force customer needs.
• Help create a framework for future technology innovations and capability improvements.
