About The Position

Nexus Family Recovery Center is a Dallas-based nonprofit dedicated to helping women and families heal from substance use disorder. We provide a comprehensive continuum of care, from detox through residential and outpatient treatment, rooted in trauma-informed, evidence-based practice and a deep belief that recovery is possible for everyone we serve.   • Proficient in common office technology tools, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma/GED preferred.
  • Experience with substance use disorder and mental health preferred.
  • One year of experience in social services; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Additional professional certifications and accreditation may be a plus for this position.
  • Must remain current with professional licensing requirements and agency training requirements.
  • Clean driving record and all training required by the agency.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license throughout employment with Nexus.

  • Adheres to the agency’s compliance plan, code of conduct, and the Nexus policies & procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains frequent contact with the professionals at Parkland and methadone clinics with attention to providing brief program updates and maintaining satisfaction on the part of partner agencies.
  • Adheres to client confidentiality regulations.
  • Provides needed transportation for clients.
  • Works as early as 5am, when needed, to transport clients to treatment.
  • Provides client supervision in a safe, therapeutic setting.
  • Utilizes and promotes the appropriate treatment model with all clients.
  • Conducts appropriate interventions and provides support.
  • Observes and documents relevant client information and behaviors.
  • Ensures communication lines between department and members of a client’s treatment team are functioning optimally.
  • Maintains accurate documentation in staff logs, incident reports, facility forms, and/or other reports promptly.
  • Documents notes and other clinical information in database systems including CMBHS and Welligent.
  • Escalates emergencies as appropriate.
  • Conducts and documents urine screening.
  • Attends all required staff training sessions by Nexus and state licensing requirements and completes all training on time.
  • Attends and participates in all staff meetings.
  • Adheres to and promotes the Nexus mission and values.
  • Acts as a role model for others.
  • Conducts client groups as needed.
  • Other duties within the organization as assigned.
