About The Position

This position involves the construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground electrical power lines and systems. Lineworkers will perform a variety of tasks to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of electricity.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a Lineworker with demonstrated ability to work on both overhead (OH) and underground (UG) systems.
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.
Strong understanding of electrical theory, safety practices, and utility construction standards.
Ability to operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, and trenchers.
Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and be on-call for emergencies.

Nice To Haves

Completion of a recognized Lineworker apprenticeship program preferred.
OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair overhead and underground electrical power lines, cables, and other electrical equipment.
Work with energized and de-energized lines, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
Operate a variety of tools and equipment, including bucket trucks, digger derricks, trenchers, and various hand tools.
Climb poles and structures, and work at various heights and in confined spaces.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of electrical systems.
Assist in the restoration of power during outages and emergencies, often in adverse weather conditions.
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers.
Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
