This position is responsible for performing duties required in the operation, maintenance, construction and repair of transmission and distribution systems. The role involves constructing and maintaining overhead and underground electric lines and equipment, working on energized lines after specific training and approvals, and inspecting existing power lines and substation equipment. The position also requires investigating trouble on lines, locating power outages, maintaining and servicing tools and equipment, and performing various types of work on energized or de-energized lines from an aerial device or pole. Additionally, the role includes collecting delinquent accounts, operating PEC vehicles, maintaining driver eligibility, and ensuring the security of confidential information. The apprentice will stay abreast of technological advancements and demonstrate regular attendance. Some supervisory responsibilities may be required in emergency situations, and the role may involve facilitating meetings and public speaking.
