About The Position

We’re looking for friendly, compassionate, team players to join our linen management team. Process, distribute, and collect linen throughout the hospital. Provide excellent quality linen that supports a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where patients can heal.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
  • Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform
  • Background check, drug screen, and proof of employment eligibility required

Nice To Haves

  • Housekeeping or laundry experience (cleaning, environmental services, custodian, janitorial, room attendant, floor care technician, hotel operations, healthcare)

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the forecast of expenses and the planning and execution of budgets
  • Support positive customer relations and patient satisfaction
  • Produce weekly linen usage reports and create action plans to achieve goals
  • Follow all HHS and regulatory linen procedures and best practices
  • Act as a liaison for regulatory surveyors and operating committees
  • Provide education for nursing and other departments on proper linen use
  • Monitor and consult on HHS linen distribution and safety policies and procedures
  • Assist with the delivery of clean linen as needed
  • Monitor and assist with linen savings initiatives in order to meet goals
  • Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently
  • Distribute clean linen to patient care areas and ensure par levels are maintained
  • Collect and transport soiled linen from units to designated areas
  • Remove and replace trash and biohazard waste bins throughout the facility
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of linen rooms and storage areas
  • Monitor linen usage and report shortages or issues
  • Follow proper infection control and safety procedures
  • Perform daily and detailed cleaning of ER patient rooms and common areas
  • Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces using approved chemicals
  • Remove trash, linen, and biohazard waste promptly
  • Respond to spills, including blood and bodily fluids, following proper protocols
  • Restock supplies in ER rooms and support areas
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and patient-ready environment at all times
