About The Position

Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center is seeking a Full-time Linen Services Worker for the Night shift. This role is responsible for managing and delivering linen throughout the hospital, including exchanging linen carts, delivering bulk linen, and filling/emptying scrub machines. The position requires constant walking, pulling of linen carts, and handling of linen items while maintaining a neat and orderly work area. The worker will also operate a handheld scanner and computer, and interact with hospital staff in a courteous and professional manner.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year experience preferred.
• Able to read and write and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to scan, read, interpret linen data and access computer files.
• Requires considerable walking and standing.
• Involves a wide range of body movements including stooping, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling.
• Must be able to move carts weighing up to 700 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Exchanging linen carts weighing up to 200 lbs. throughout all hospital units
• Delivering bulk linen carts weighing up to 500 lbs. to certain units
• Filling and emptying scrub EX machines for physicians and OR teammates
• Constant walking and pulling of linen carts throughout the shift
• Maintains work area in a neat, orderly and efficient manner.
• Demonstrates correct procedure including safety in handling linen items.
• Reads, accesses and interprets linen data.
• Operates hand held scanner and computer.
• Maintains a courteous and professional manner at all times.
• Resolves fill rate issues for facilities.
