The Linen Services Assistant role involves collecting, sorting, stocking, and distributing linens and apparel, adhering to infection control guidelines, performing daily inventory, identifying items for repair or replacement, and operating laundry equipment according to instructions and policies. The position is located at Ascension Providence Hospital in Waco, TX, within the Laundry Services department, with a schedule of Monday - Friday, 3:00 pm - 12:00 am, including weekend shift rotations.

Requirements

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in house keeping or Laundering services.

Responsibilities

• Collect and sort soiled linens and apparel for assigned areas.
• Stock and distribute clean linens and apparel, adhering to infection control guidelines.
• Perform daily inventory to ensure clean linens and apparel are accurately stocked and distributed.
• Identify items for repair or replacement and notify management.
• Wash, dry or fold laundered linens and apparel, identifying items for repair or replacement and notify management.
• Operate all laundry equipment according to operating instructions and departmental policies.
• Maintain work area and equipment in clean, working condition.
