The Plant Manager position in our Operations department in Kingston, PA supervises production supervisors, monitors and maintains quality and productivity, sets up the work flow and employee staffing, schedules employees, orders supplies, ensures machinery is operating properly, inventories linen by department, directly supervises employees, reviews attendance and productivity, and disciplines employees. The anticipated salary for this position starts at $78,000 and is commensurate with experience. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field and 10+ of progressive experience in a similar role, including demonstrated leadership in a production or industrial setting are preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a regulatory and compliance-driven environment.
  • Experience in managing and developing teams, including the ability to plan, coordinate, and direct workflows within and between departments to meet quality and efficiency goals. Proven track record in mentoring and increasing team management and operational knowledge.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and related applications. Familiarity with industry specific software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the budgetary process and ability to read a P&L statement.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises assigned staff.
  • Assists staff with problem solving and conflict resolution as needed.
  • Takes appropriate disciplinary action for infractions of policy.
  • May council, suspend and recommend termination according to established policy.
  • Interviews applicants and recommends for hire.
  • Supports the Regional General Manager in the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and making adjustments to ensure the budget is achieved as well as monthly Proformas.
  • Ensures that all members of their management team continue to provide the best overall quality package in appearance.
  • Establishes work flow, amount of items required, and employee staffing to meet customer needs.
  • Monitors pounds and pieces produced, adjusting staffing to meet production requirements and improve productivity.
  • In partnership with Human Resources, participates in interviews, supervises, trains, schedules, counsels and evaluates staff.
