Job Summary: To provide and maintain electric service to MTE consumer members. Must be physically fit to perform the essential functions, which includes responsibilities as directed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid Tennessee Class "A" Restriction 57 commercial driver's license.
• Completed Apprentice Lineman training program.
• Journeyman Lineman certificate and experience.
• Successfully complete MTE Metering School, Substation School, and Transformer School, when offered, with a passing grade of 70.
• Working knowledge of RUS construction specifications, including all residential services and commercial services, underground, single-phase and three-phase line construction.
• Possess a positive attitude and sincere desire to be of service in all areas covered by the position.
• Encompass the three virtues of the Ideal Team Player (Humble, Hungry & People Smart).
• Meet residency requirements as specified in the Labor Agreement.

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain electric service to MTE consumer members.
• Perform essential functions as directed.
• Rotate on call.
