Requirements

  • A High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Line Technician or in a similar role, ideally in a manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to diagnose issues, and maintain and repair industrial equipment and machinery.
  • Understanding of safety protocols and industry regulations.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
  • Physical stamina and strength, with the ability to lift heavy machinery and work on your feet for long hours.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing, and electrical systems, following blueprints, manuals, and schematic diagrams.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance inspections on various production lines and machines, ensuring that they are in good working condition and free of defects that may affect operations.
  • Diagnose machine issues by using technical drawings, diagnostic tools, and a solid foundational understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Fix, replace or repair parts, as necessary, and providing detailed repair descriptions and documentation.
  • Organize and schedule other line technicians for emergency maintenance interventions.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests, and quickly troubleshoot and fix issues to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with line operators to ensure the efficient operation of the production line.
  • Observe safety protocols and report potential risks, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Train new employees on preventative maintenance procedures and standard equipment protocols.
  • Stay current with the latest technologies and techniques by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks.
