About The Position

Consolidated Cooperative is seeking a Line Technician A or Apprentice Line Technician to join their safety-focused team. This role involves all phases of electric line construction, operation, maintenance, and service work. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, is mechanically inclined, and wants to play a hands-on role in supporting their local community. While a current Line Technician A is preferred, candidates may be hired as a Ground Technician with the expectation to complete Ohio’s Electric Cooperatives Ohio Line Worker Training (COLT) program. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Journeyman Line Technician program completion or willingness to complete required training through COLT.
  • Good working knowledge of electricity fundamentals, circuit connections, line voltages, phasing and transformer connections, switching devices, transmission and distribution standards, and electrical safety (or ability to obtain).
  • Ability to interpret field prints and switching diagrams.
  • Ability to work aloft on poles, towers, and structures while climbing or working from bucket truck.
  • Valid Class A CDL and Medical Examiner’s Certificate (or ability to obtain).
  • Self-motivated, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving and service mindset.

  • A current Line Technician A is preferred.
