About The Position

This role is responsible for interacting with forklift drivers, warehouse employees, and supervisors to ensure all production lines are consistently stocked with the correct product. The position involves setting up lines, filling bins with product, managing inventory, and breaking down materials at the end of the shift. Additional duties may include assisting on the line or in other departments as needed, and potentially working longer hours due to daily setup and breakdown requirements.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read, communicate, and comprehend English.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers.
  • Ability to multiply and divide by multiples of 10s and 100s.
  • Ability to perform mathematical operations using units of American money, weight measurements, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out one or two-step instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
  • Ability to read, memorize codes, and multitask.
  • Ability to differentiate colors, shapes, and textures.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Knowledge of flex, internet, outlook, and excel.
  • Good verbal, written, and spoken communication skills.
  • Proficiency in solving problems, analyzing situations, auditing codes, and verifying numbers and letters to identify variables.
  • Ability to work with minimum or no supervision.
  • Standing for sustained periods of time.
  • Hand dexterity (picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers).
  • Talking (expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken word).
  • Ability to exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, lift containers overhead, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Must be on feet all day.

Responsibilities

  • Arrive 30 minutes before line employees to prepare for the shift.
  • Verify daily menu and line setup with the Line Lead and MPC.
  • Confirm pallet locations and report findings and scans to the lead.
  • Fill bins with product and await approval from MPC before starting sample runs.
  • Make modifications or change products as requested.
  • Break down and remove boxes, cardboard, and trash from the line.
  • Set up the next line once the current one is filled and stocked.
  • Return all resources to proper locations by clearing bins, including manually counting and logging returned quantities.
  • Report variances in returned quantities to the Material Handler or lead.
  • Log and tag all partial boxes clearly using red tape.
  • Assist the Material Handler in removing unused items and resources to original boxes, ensuring no exposed products are left on the floor.
  • Verify that the line and surrounding area are clear of all resources, bins, and items, and that they are stored correctly.
  • Assist on the line when necessary, as directed by the lead or supervisor.
  • Assist different departments with box breakdown, palletizing, or scanning of products.
  • Work longer hours than most departments due to daily line setup and breakdown.
