About The Position

Alliance Aviation Services is seeking a knowledgeable, safety-focused, organized and professional individual to serve as the Line Service Training Coordinator. This role is responsible for providing structured, on-the-job training for Line Operations Specialists while managing training documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and employee training compliance. The position ensures consistency in service delivery, operational execution, and adherence to all company, airport, and regulatory standards. The Training Coordinator will lay the foundation for our new hires and will reinforce our core values, standards and expectations as an organization. This role will also work closely with Line Service Leadership and the Safety Coordinator to develop team members through hands-on instruction, reinforce a culture of safety and accountability, and maintain alignment with industry regulations and best practices. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced aviation environment, demonstrates strong communication skills, and is passionate about developing team members through hands-on training. The position remains actively engaged in daily ramp operations to ensure training is practical, relevant, and reflective of real-time operational demands.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous FBO, aviation customer service, or operations experience required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train and influence others.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members in a hands-on operational environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain composure in a fast-paced, safety-sensitive environment.
  • High level of professionalism and commitment to safe, efficient operations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments.

  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to operate VHF and Two-Way Radios.

Responsibilities

  • Lead structured onboarding for all new Line Operations Specialists, including orientation, training schedules, and airfield familiarization.
  • Deliver classroom and hands-on, on-the-job training in live ramp and operational environments.
  • Develop and maintain standardized training plans, task checklists, and qualification pathways for all new hires.
  • Coach and mentor Line Operations Specialists during live operations to reinforce service expectations and procedures.
  • Transition trainees to designated peer trainers or team Leads for continued development while maintaining oversight of progress and completion of required milestones.
  • Evaluate trainee performance and provide input on readiness for independent duty; recommend additional training or corrective action when needed.
  • Maintain visibility into all trainee progress and ensure training is completed in a timely, consistent manner.
  • Manage, review, and update Line Service–related SOPs to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Ensure SOPs reflect current operational practices, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain accessibility and proper communication of SOP updates to team members.
  • Track and document employee training completion, certifications, and recurrent training requirements.
  • Maintain organized and accurate training records for compliance and audit purposes.
  • Coordinate refresher training and required recertifications for existing staff.
  • Support internal and external audits, inspections, or reviews by providing training documentation and attending audits when needed.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify training needs and operational improvement opportunities.
  • Assist with the development of training materials, manuals, job aids, and reference guides.
  • Reinforce a culture of safety, professionalism, teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and present training updates or materials during team or quarterly meetings.
  • Ensure training aligns with company service standards and customer expectations.
  • Stays current on industry trends and regulations related to service, safety, operations and training opportunities. Including but not limited to Part 139 Airport requirements, NFPA 407, ATA 103 and the DLA contract.
  • Fills in on Line Operations to provide additional staffing and assistance as needed and/or requested.
  • Performs related duties as assigned, contributing to both training initiatives and overall team operations to support consistent, high-quality customer experience.
  • Reinforce and model a strong safety culture aligned with company standards, Safety Management System (SMS) principles, and industry regulations.
  • Train team members on safe aircraft handling, fueling procedures, towing, and ramp operations in accordance with: Part 139 Airport Requirements, NFPA 407 (Aircraft Fueling), ATA 103 (Fuel Quality Control), DLA and Rapid Refueling procedures.
  • Ensure all training aligns with regulatory requirements, company policies, and customer expectations.
  • Promote operational discipline, situational awareness, and strict adherence to standard procedures in a dynamic environment.
  • Maintain active involvement on the ramp to ensure training reflects current operational practices and conditions.
  • Present training updates, safety topics, and performance insights during team meetings.
  • Work closely with Line Service Leadership and the Safety Coordinator to identify training needs and proactively address performance gaps.
  • Incorporate lessons learned from safety reports, operational incidents, near-misses, and audits into training content and delivery.
  • Track and document all employee training progress, certifications, and recurrent training requirements.
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready training records and compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate and deliver refresher training and required re-certifications for existing staff.
  • Support internal and external audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews by providing training documentation and demonstrating compliance.
  • Monitor trends in training gaps, audit findings, or operational deviations and incorporate corrective actions into training programs.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory updates, and best practices related to aviation operations and training.
  • Provide support on the ramp as needed during peak periods or staffing gaps.
  • Perform line service duties to maintain proficiency and ensure training remains grounded in real-world operations.
  • Represent the company on the ramp with professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and service.
