About The Position

Line Service Technician Start Your Career in Aviation with Ascension FBO! Are you interested in aviation, enjoy working outdoors, and want a job where every day brings something different? Ascension FBO is looking for a dependable and customer-focused Line Service Technician to provide ground support for arriving and departing aircraft while creating a welcoming experience for pilots, crew members, and passengers. This is an entry-level position, and no previous aviation experience is required. We provide the training you need to learn aircraft fueling, towing, marshaling, safety procedures, and other essential ground-service operations. Schedule Sunday - Wednesday 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Closing/Second Shift Position Objective The Line Service Technician represents Ascension FBO in a positive and professional manner while providing safe, efficient aviation ground services. Success in this position is based on following established safety procedures, providing excellent customer service, and contributing to a clean and organized operation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.
• No previous aviation experience required.
• Willingness to learn and successfully complete all required training.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow established procedures.
• Friendly and professional customer-service skills.
• Strong verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to write legibly and perform basic math.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a commercial driver’s license or equipment certifications if required for the position.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
• Ability to safely move or direct fuel trucks, hoses, and other ground-service equipment.
• Ability to frequently walk, bend, stretch, sit, stoop, reach, grasp, and climb.
• Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work the assigned shift, including weekends.
• Availability for occasional overtime, nights, or schedule adjustments as operationally necessary.

Responsibilities

• Fuel, tow, wing-walk, and provide general ground support for various aircraft in accordance with established procedures.
• Marshal arriving and departing aircraft.
• Greet pilots, crew members, and passengers in a professional and friendly manner.
• Assist with aircraft parking and other ramp operations.
• Perform routine inspections of equipment and facilities and document findings.
• Keep the ramp, hangars, and facilities clean, organized, and free of debris.
• Communicate customer questions and feedback to the appropriate Ascension FBO team members.
• Perform lawn care, janitorial, and other facility-support duties as assigned.
• Immediately report safety incidents, hazards, or equipment concerns to management.
• Follow emergency and incident-response procedures when required.
• Participate in all new-hire and recurrent training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
