About The Position

Fox Business Network is seeking an experienced producer to join Big Money in the Morning. The Line Producer translates the show’s editorial vision into an organized rundown and oversees live on-air production. The role involves building and timing the rundown, copyediting producer assignments, and serving as a key point of contact for producers, hosts, and crew. The successful candidate is assertive, detail-oriented, inquisitive, organized, and able to communicate clearly, improvise, and make sound decisions under pressure. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. ET.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of skills and demonstrated experience.
• Experience in a live control room.
• Experience interacting with high-profile talent.
• Exceptional editorial skills and the ability to identify stories and elements with strong potential for compelling television.
• Effective communication skills, including the ability to provide clarity and reassurance in high-pressure situations.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to simplify complicated tasks under pressure.
• A solid base of technical skills, specifically with newsroom and video editing software.
• Strong interest in or knowledge of business news, current events, and politics.
• Willingness to listen, learn, and grow from constructive criticism.

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field of study, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the show’s rundown throughout the morning.
• Provide editorial guidance to producers.
• Copyedit scripts, lower thirds, and other show elements.
• Identify potential issues early and offer solutions.
• Write teases and handle promotional elements for the show.
• Produce segments as needed.
• Guide the technical crew through each show element with calm, clear instructions.
• Keep hosts on time using clear and effective cues.
• Monitor on-screen aesthetics to ensure visuals support the conversation.
• Manage time and attention effectively, prioritizing and delegating tasks when necessary.
