Requirements

  • Proven experience working as a line operator.
  • Extensive knowledge of the operating procedures for production machinery and other equipment.
  • Proficiency in adhering to health and safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Understanding of quality control and basic maintenance procedures.
  • Aptitude for mechanical skills.
  • Ability to keep a disciplined record of production, service times, costs, and resources.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform moderately strenuous tasks.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team setting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work shifts, over weekends, holidays, and overtime when required.

Responsibilities

  • Set up machinery and ensure all production materials are available.
  • Operate and monitor equipment and replenish materials as needed.
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot operating equipment loads, material weights and production speeds to maintain optimal operation of the line.
  • Perform regular checks and preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment and components.
  • Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the production supervisor.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and protocols within the production line.
  • Regularly carry out quality assurance tests to ensure product consistency.
  • Cooperate and communicate with other team members to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace by upholding cleanliness and sanitation regulations.
  • Record operational or production data for reference in future operations or quality control checks.
  • Completing all tasks in a timely manner following all guidelines for efficient and safe operation.
