About The Position

ARI, a family-owned aerosol manufacturer, is seeking a Line Mechanic/Forklift Driver for their 2nd shift (M-Th 5:00pm - 3:30am) in Orchard Hill, GA. This role is crucial for ensuring the optimal performance of aerosol filling lines through mechanical support and accurate compounding of raw materials. The position demands strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and quality. As a key member of the production team, this role involves hands-on mechanical and compounding operations to maintain efficient and safe aerosol manufacturing processes. The job requires strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards, including SDS, OSHA, EPA, FDA, and GMP guidelines.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
2+ years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in aerosol, chemical, or pharmaceutical production.
Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, with hands-on experience in line maintenance or equipment repair.
Ability to read and understand batch sheets, schematics, mechanical drawings, SPO’s, and safety data sheets (SDS).
Basic knowledge of pumps, valves, mixers, and fluid transfer systems.
Strong attention to detail, safety, and product quality.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
Ability to stand, bend, reach and work on mechanical systems for extended periods.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, tolerance for exposure to loud noise, chemical vapors, flammable materials, and varying temperatures.
Must wear appropriate PPE.

Nice To Haves

Technical training or certifications a plus.
Forklift certification preferred (Or ability and willingness to become certified).
Familiarity with aerosol production processes.
Basic welding, plumbing, or electrical repair skills.
Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Ensuring optimal performance of aerosol filling lines by providing mechanical support and accurate compounding of raw materials.
Setting up and changing over filling lines.
Performing preventative maintenance.
Troubleshooting equipment to minimize downtime.
Weighing, measuring, and mixing raw materials according to batch specifications.
Operating a variety of mixing equipment, including tanks and pumps, for flammable and adhesive product batches.
Ensuring machinery meets safety and quality standards.
Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Documenting production data.
Keeping tools and parts in order.
Working closely with both maintenance and production teams.
Strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards, including SDS, OSHA, EPA, FDA, and GMP guidelines.
