About The Position

One position for an hourly Line Loader within the Shipping Department is now open at the Natchitoches EWP Mill. The role will be responsible for operating and managing industrial trucks to unload finished goods product from outfeed lines and move them to and from storage areas within the Shipping yard. This role will report to the Shipping and Scheduling Manager. The wage for this role is $24.84 per hour.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED from an accredited agency/institution.
At least one (1) year of experience as a heavy equipment operator in a manufacturing or distribution environment is required.
A current resume or detailed education and work history required for consideration.
Proficient in joystick operation of lift, as well as utilizing a VMT computer for scanning of product.
Ability to meet objectives while working unsupervised.
Ability to read and follow detailed instructions.
Ability to pass the appropriate spec and competency tests with 100%25 score.
Ability to pass the Line Loader certification checklist.
Able to perform the essential functions of the position, which includes climbing stairs, navigating catwalks, lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, and bending.
Must be willing to work any shift, including rotating shifts plus weekends and holidays as operating conditions require.
Ability to work at heights, in adverse weather conditions, and in challenging physical positions without issue.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience operating a Taylor 250S lift a preference.

Responsibilities

Accurately and safely unloading finished goods in a manner as to protect the product from damage while stacking and storing in Shipping yard.
Ensure that all finished goods are completely wrapped and stickering is correct on bundles when unloaded.
Utilize scanners to track inventory.
Conduct pre-use inspection of mobile equipment.
Identify and report quality deficiencies or damages of product.
Participate in initiatives such as safety functions, wellness events, and community activities.
Other duties as assigned.
