This position is responsible for coordinating the activities of assigned team members on matters related to production, including the quality and safety of food products, team member safety, housekeeping, adherence to the production schedule, optimizing line efficiencies, and effective communication with production leaders. The role involves maintaining a neat, safe, and orderly work area using Lean Manufacturing techniques, complying with company policies and GMP, and ensuring OSHA guidelines are followed. The Line Lead must be able to react to schedule changes, monitor case attainment, and ensure packaging standards are met. Responsibilities also include equipment set-up, handling start-up, change over, and shut down duties, training and motivating team members, filling in for absences, passing down training information, loading/unloading materials, communicating with supervisors and team members, establishing interpersonal relationships, identifying information, assisting in developing SOPs, and creating daily reports on staffing, production, and issues. The role also involves developing and communicating visual KPIs and conducting daily post-op meetings.
