About The Position

INTIGRAL supplies just-in-time, mass-customized insulating glass units (IGU), monolithic glass products, and Blinds Between the glass to window and door manufacturers from the Midwest States to the Mid-Atlantic. We are seeking a Line Lead for our Framing Department.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED and six to 12 months of related experience or training are equivalent to a combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to understand work orders, follow procedures, and stay on task.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and push or pull 75+ lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities that include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Stand continuously for an 8-hour shift + OT.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support to the Department Supervisor by ensuring the line is well organized and supplied.
  • Works the line and is well-versed in the operation and workflow requirements.
  • Provides leadership including feedback/coaching to operators, conflict resolution, identifying process constraints, and appropriate problem solving.
  • Performs position work when there is a need for members to leave the production line and for absenteeism.
  • Executes changeovers without safety issues while maximizing up time and minimizing quality issues.
  • Follows and administers all safety procedures and personal protective equipment according to standards.
  • Responds to any downtime situation and corrects it immediately or notifies the Supervisor of the need for support.
  • Responsible for the hour-by-hour operation of work center(s) to ensure the team is working efficiently towards exceeding the daily schedule.
  • Monitors WIP (work in process) levels to ensure smooth workflow; coordinates delivery of supplies from the shipping department.
  • Trains new and existing operators.
  • Knows, understands and promotes the quality specifications for the department.
  • Leads corrective actions.
  • Deploys, executes and trains to existing and future process improvements.
  • Provides feedback to the supervisor regarding daily operations and personnel.
  • Maintains audits as necessary (standard work, safety, etc.).
