About The Position

As a Line Lead in the Jar Lines Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficiency and safe operation of the assigned production line while maintaining the work area clean and safe. Must comply with all good manufacturing practices.

Requirements

  • Availability to work four days, ten hours shifts from Monday to Thursdays.
  • Availability of working Fridays, weekends and overtime hours as needed.
  • Must be able to lift 30-pound boxes regularly.
  • High School diploma/G.E.D. or equivalent required.
  • Utilize knowledge and requirements of Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Willingness to work overtime and/or weekends.
  • Strong commitment to company goals and values.
  • Friendly and positive attitude.
  • Good communicator and listener.
  • Knowledge in production systems such as Red Zone and Parity.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain work order information for the scheduled lines to run during the shift.
  • Ensure necessary materials are scheduled and available at the production line.
  • Ensure production line start up is on time and in compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Coordinates production line employees to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and according to the production schedule.
  • Monitors the quality of the product throughout the production process, ensuring they meet company standards and customer specifications.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as quality control, maintenance and warehouse to ensure smooth production workflow.
  • Identify production issues, troubleshoot problems and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to improve performance.
  • Ensure the production line adheres to safety standards and company policies to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Track production line efficiency using Line Clearance Procedure and keep accurate records for production schedule in Red Zone.
  • Ensure raw materials, components, and supplies are available to meet the production demands.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline production processes and improve efficiency.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Follow production schedules and meet daily production requirements.
  • Prepare daily report on production efficiency and PDS information in Red Zone.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
