About The Position

Stratas Foods, a 50/50 joint venture between ACH Food Companies and Archer Daniels Midland Company, is seeking a qualified Line Lead Filler Operator for its Cordova, TN facility. This role is crucial for maintaining production lines and ensuring product quality. The company values employee input and aims to be a progressive workplace. The Line Lead Filler Operator will be responsible for a variety of tasks to keep the production lines running smoothly and efficiently.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer knowledge for data entry.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb stairs, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of basic operation of equipment on the line.
  • Knowledge of chemical handling procedures including PPE required.
  • Knowledge of process flow and ability to trace flow from source tank to filling process.
  • Basic understanding of pumps, valves, and how to change filters.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general housekeeping, clean up, sweeping, vacuuming, painting, and lubrication.
  • Retrieve samples, perform power washing, and lift/haul items.
  • Operate a motorized forklift.
  • Prepare packaging and package product.
  • Keep lines stocked with packaging materials.
  • Fill out appropriate paperwork related to CCPs, production, and packaging materials.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and repair of packaging equipment.
  • Operate CIP skids and perform breakdown and cleaning of line components.
  • Communicate with supervisors regarding line downtime due to equipment or product supply issues.
  • Report and resolve any observed quality issues while operating the line.
  • Perform proper start up, running, and shut down of the line.
  • Perform proper tear down, cleaning, and reassembling of pumps, sanitary lines, and line equipment.
  • Handle chemicals according to procedures, including required PPE.
  • Understand process flow and trace flow from source tank to filling process.
  • Demonstrate basic understanding of pumps, valves, and filter changes.
  • Successfully pass qualification tests for Operator 2 responsibilities.
  • Participate in efficiency and safety improvement teams.
  • Learn and follow written rules and procedures.
  • Produce accurate documentation.
  • Maintain acceptable attendance.
  • Learn various positions and fill in for temporary/permanent vacancies as needed.
  • Adhere to and comply with all safety, food safety, environmental, and GMP rules, regulations, and policies.
