About The Position

This position is responsible for team leadership on the assembly floor, ensuring the assigned area has the necessary people, equipment, and material, and ensuring tasks are performed in compliance with work instructions to ensure quality and productivity standards are met. The role involves managing staffing, material availability, equipment readiness, and team rotation schedules. It also requires providing daily progress reports, ensuring accurate timekeeping, resolving minor performance and interpersonal issues, and implementing continuous improvement programs. The Line Lead must ensure team members are adequately trained, display proficiency in all conversion line duties, and troubleshoot equipment, techniques, and processes. The role requires working independently, managing time efficiently, and planning/accomplishing goals using experience and judgment. Effective communication, compliance with work instructions and QMS procedures, adherence to company policies, and maintaining good employee relations are crucial. The position also emphasizes maintaining the highest levels of ethics and confidentiality, ensuring a safe work environment, and assisting with department cleanliness. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • 6 months or more related experience.
  • Ability to read write, recognize, understand and accomplish new assignments with only general instructions.
  • Ability to operate basic computer equipment and peripherals as well as company standard software.
  • Ability to effectively perform all basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages).
  • Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check.
  • Verified eligibility for employment in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all positions are adequately staffed.
  • Ensure availability of necessary materials.
  • Ensure all equipment is work-ready and maintained properly.
  • Ensure team rotation schedule is developed and implemented.
  • Provide daily progress reports.
  • Ensure all employees times are properly assigned to production manufacturing orders (time sheet and Kronos).
  • Resolves minor performance and interpersonal issues.
  • Implements continuous improvement programs using problem analysis and resolution skills.
  • Ensure all team members are adequately trained.
  • Displays proficiency in all conversion line duties.
  • Troubleshoot equipment, techniques, and processes.
  • Works independently, efficiently manages time, and uses experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Employ effective, respectful and persuasive spoken and written communication skills.
  • Ensure compliance with work instructions and/or Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to all current company policies.

  • Maintain highest levels of ethics and confidentiality.
  • Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others including wearing mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
