About The Position

The Line Lead 2 is responsible for directly overseeing multiple cells of assemblers, machine operators, or fabricators and the activities of production. Must be willing and able to work in an environment exposed to elements that can include but are not limited to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise and uncontrolled temperatures.

Requirements

2+ years of manufacturing experience required.
Must understand and follow forklift safety procedures and be able to obtain forklift certification through a company-provided test.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of all machines and tools on the assigned line, with strong mechanical aptitude.
Ability to follow instructions accurately.
Ability to lead others in a professional and effective manner.
Ability to learn and use internal software systems.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

1+ year of leadership or Line Lead experience preferred.
HIgh School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure all company policies are followed, including but not limited to, safety and quality.
Lead and motivate different production crews over multiple lines to work in a unified manner.
Lead and/or participate in production floor and quality meetings.
Recommend and implement ways to improve team engagement, production processes, equipment performance, product quality and overall efficiency.
Route goods to proper areas within the plant and stage materials at machines for operators.
Verify pallet/crate/box tags are correctly labeled and identified.
Assist with production while maintaining working knowledge of all equipment within the assigned area.
Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and team engagement, and support continuous improvement across all areas.
Collaborate with managers and supervisors to coordinate production workflow.
Collaborate with quality, warehouse, and other teams as needed.
