About The Position

Responsible for the safe and efficient handling, staging, and transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous materials to and from trucks and production lines. This role involves operating material-handling equipment (sit down/stand up/reach electric forklift), maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting shipment preparation, and ensuring compliance with safety and documentation standards. The position is for the 3rd shift, working from 10 PM to 6:30 AM, Monday through Friday. Training may occur on different shifts. The pay rate is $21.50 per hour, with a pay increase in July 2026 and quarterly bonuses. This is a direct, full-time hire. The interview process includes a phone interview, written and hands-on forklift tests, and an onsite interview.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, safety warning labels, and machine instruction manuals.
  • Ability to move, carry, and lift approximately 60 pounds.
  • Ability to climb heights of approximately 15 feet, and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to perform necessary quality and inventory control data gathering and input in either written or electronic formats.
  • Good hand/eye coordination.
  • Basic math and writing skills.
  • Ability to work in environment with chemical agents.
  • Ability to wear proper PPE (safety glasses, safety shoes, hair/beard net).
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs as needed.
  • On time and regular attendance for each shift.

Nice To Haves

  • Current/valid OSHA forklift certification.
  • 2+ years of previous experience operating a forklift in a production/manufacturing environment supporting production lines.
  • Previous experience working with chemicals, hazardous materials, or in a regulated (FDA/ISO) chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency operating electric forklifts, specifically sit-down.
  • Previous experience with Lean Manufacturing practices OSHA safety standards.
  • Experience working overnights/3rd shift.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering the proper material on time to the various areas of the manufacturing plant, according to the requisitions or instructions given.
  • Prepare finished goods for transportation to the distribution site.
  • Load and offload trailers and store finished and unfinished products in the proper place.
  • Count and verify by proper item and lot number, all materials during palletization, loading and unloading and stores all materials in the proper place.
  • Assemble, weigh, and stage raw materials and packaging components needed for production and maintains proper documentation.
  • Occasionally performing proper palletization of finished or unfinished products and storing them in the proper place as designated.
  • Refueling/recharging material-handling equipment and complete daily maintenance, including cleaning the equipment and checking oil, water, battery, and lubrication.
  • Exercise extreme caution to not damage other material or property while operating moving equipment and must at all times exercise extreme caution for the safety of other employees.
  • Maintain written and/or electronic records as required by management (i.e. cGMP or ISO procedures).
  • Maintain clean equipment and work areas at all times.
  • Moving and loading hazardous wastes, as directed by the supervisor.
  • Move and arrange drums on pallets from the floor.
  • Weigh drums and bags of raw materials, calculate usage required, and containers as needed.
  • Perform necessary quality and inventory control data gathering and input in either written or electronic formats.
