Requirements

  • At least one year of Kitchen experience preferred but not required.
  • Basic math skills required, must be able to add, subtract.
  • Legible handwriting.
  • Strong customer service and oral communication skills.
  • U.S. Work Authorization (required).

Responsibilities

  • Effectively serving customers with the consistency and quality food that they expect from our restaurant.
  • Working as a team to create a memorable dining experience for all of our guests.
  • Knowing and understanding every item on the menu (including portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules).
  • Assuming 100% responsibility for the quality of products served.
  • Working closely with the Chef to provide absolute consistency on every plate.
  • Timing is everything; work on timing to get every ticket out in an appropriate amount of time.
  • Remaining focused on designated tasks during prime service hours.
  • Communicating consistently with co-workers.
  • Seeing who else may need help with prepping and getting ready when your station is ready for service.
  • Keeping your workstation clean and stocked.
  • Practicing safe knife handling; if training is needed, see the Chef.
  • Assisting in putting away deliveries when help is needed.
  • Opening/closing the kitchen properly and following the opening/closing checklist for kitchen stations.
  • Assisting others in closing the kitchen.
  • Confiding in the manager or assistant manager if problems with a co-worker arise so that appropriate actions can be taken.
  • Arriving promptly and in full uniform for all scheduled shifts, including mandatory meetings.
  • Discussing with manager or assistant manager requested days off; requested days off must be approved and need to be submitted 2 weeks in advance.
  • Following and abiding by all policies written in the employee handbook.
  • Having fun at work; leaving baggage at the door; coming to work with a positive attitude ready and willing to help create a positive experience for our guests.
