Requirements

A minimum of 5+ years of previous kitchen experience.
Bilingual in Spanish & English
3+ years of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
Possession of a NYC Food Handlers Permit.
Strong understanding of kitchen operations, culinary techniques, and food safety standards.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Supervise line cooks' work to ensure timely task completion and adherence to quality standards.
Ensure that food is prepared according to designated recipes and meets quality standards.
Maintain sanitation requirements, including temperature control, storage procedures, product rotation, and food handling practices.
Control waste and manage portion sizes to optimize food costs.
Monitor food inventories and ensure appropriate levels are maintained.
Execute daily side work with enthusiasm and attention to detail.
Demonstrate flexibility by working within various kitchen stations, including fry, plancha, and expediter.
Assist in additional tasks and duties as assigned by management.
