About The Position

The Line Cook prepares food for guests throughout the venue, including foods served on buffet lines, sliced meats, and dishes prepared to order. The role provides high-quality, fresh food in a timely manner and requires excellent attendance and availability to work events as scheduled based on business needs. The position pays $19.00–$25.00 per hour and will remain open until December 31, 2026.

This is a part-time role with Oak View Group at Villanova University Athletics. Part-time benefits include a 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching. Requirements

• Previous cook or prep cook experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment, including a broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer, and chef knife.
• Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
• A valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Previous cook or prep cook experience.
• ServSafe certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality, fresh food products in a timely manner for delivery to guests.
• Prepare hot and cold foods according to company recipes and portioning requirements.
• Work as part of a team in food preparation, service, and product delivery.
• Report maintenance needs for kitchen equipment.
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
• Observe and test foods to ensure proper cooking.
• Portion, arrange, and garnish food plates for delivery to guests.
• Consult with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Supervisor to plan menus and estimate expected food consumption.
• Meet the company’s standard for excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled.
