About The Position

Blair Hill Inn in Greenville, Maine, is seeking a reliable, organized, and passionate Line Cook to join its culinary team for a year-round, high-volume casual restaurant. The cook will work alongside the chefs preparing fresh, locally inspired ingredients for the dining experience at the Relais & Châteaux property overlooking Moosehead Lake. This role is suited to someone who takes pride in craftsmanship and wants to contribute to a supportive team focused on exceptional hospitality.

The position offers hourly compensation of $18–$23, based on experience. Affordable shared housing is available for $150 per week. The inn describes the workplace as a beautiful setting overlooking Moosehead Lake and offers a collaborative, professional kitchen in which employees can continue building their skills.

Requirements

• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Availability to work flexible daytime and afternoon shifts, including weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Two to five years of previous kitchen or prep experience is preferred; the employer is willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for daily dinner service, including vegetables, proteins, sauces, stocks, and desserts.
• Follow recipes and prep lists consistently and with attention to detail.
• Assist with receiving, rotating, and properly storing deliveries.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation.
• Support chefs with additional kitchen tasks as needed.
• Help ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met.
