About The Position
At Dave & Buster’s/Main Event Entertainment, Line Cooks prepare food to the company’s recipe and quality standards and help deliver a consistent Guest experience. They are expected to know prep and spec recipes, operational standards, kitchen equipment, and utensils, while maintaining high standards for safety and sanitation. The role includes preparing and cooking menu items, maintaining a clean and stocked station, safely operating kitchen equipment, and completing opening, mid-day, or closing duties as assigned. Line Cooks work with the service team to ensure orders are accurate, fresh, and timely.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of Line Cook and/or Prep Cook experience.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Food Handlers Certification, as required.
- Comply with company uniform standards.
- Be ready to create a memorable Guest experience.
- Teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Management, Team Members, and Guests.
- Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays, subject to business needs.
Responsibilities
- Uphold cleanliness and safety standards.
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipe standards.
- Help minimize food waste by portioning properly, watching for ticket errors, and communicating with expo.
- Partner with the service team to ensure food is accurate, fresh, and delivered in a timely manner.
- Follow company and health department food safety procedures.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and properly.
- Maintain a clean and stocked station before, during, and after each shift.
- Perform opening, mid-day, or closing duties as assigned.
