About The Position
Line Cook – Grobbel’s Garage Food Truck Location: Detroit Eastern Market, Michigan Shift: 1st Shift | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday; Saturdays or events as needed Pay & Perks:$18.00–$20.00/hour + tips (Includes working events across Metro Detroit) About Us At EW Grobbel, we’ve been crafting premium food products for over 140 years right here in Detroit. Requirements
- At least 1 year of line cook experience (food truck, catering, or high-volume quick service is a plus)
- Comfortable working fast in a small, hot space while staying organized
- Reliable transportation and a flexible schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and some early event calls
- Able to stand for long shifts and lift up to 50 lbs
- ServSafe Food Handler certification, or willingness to get it within 30 days
- A team-first attitude. On a truck, everyone does whatever needs doing.
Responsibilities
- Prep, cook, and assemble menu items to spec, quickly and consistently, during high-volume service
- Set up and break down the truck before and after each event.
- Follow food safety standards: temperature logs, holding times, sanitation, and allergen awareness
- Help with prep, inventory counts, and stocking the truck
- Keep the line moving and stay friendly with guests at the window when needed
- Represent the Grobbel’s brand at every event
