About The Position

Responsible for properly preparing and cooking all food items in a safe, timely, organized manner maintaining high quality of foods. This role requires the ability to produce from standardized recipes, prepare, portion, and cook food accordingly. The Line Cook ensures stations are prepared to meet anticipated levels of business, assists fellow staff, and consistently meets ticket time requirements. Daily cleaning duties are performed efficiently following sanitation guidelines. The position involves handling high volume cooking and plating while maintaining consistent food quality in a fast-paced environment, working hands-on with other kitchen personnel to ensure high quality of food, timeliness of service, proper food handling, and a safe, sanitary kitchen. The role follows all appropriate procedures under the supervision of culinary management and promotes teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Occasional interaction with guests may occur, and adherence to company and department specific appearance standards is required. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work in smoke filled environments.
  • Must be RAMP and Serv-Safe certified.
  • Required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Mathematical skills, including basic math, percentages, quantities, and variances are used frequently.
  • Standing up and moving about the kitchen in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Handling food, objects, products and utensils.
  • High school diploma or equivalent or equivalent work experience in food service preferred.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of times without sitting or leaning
  • Ability to climb, bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms, work under variable temperatures and noise levels
  • Use of going up and down 31 stairs multiple times per day and elevators
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
