As a Line Cook with Bar Sprezzatura, you will be an essential part of our culinary team, executing dishes with precision, consistency, and care. You’ll uphold our high standards of quality while working alongside passionate chefs in a fast-paced, fine dining environment. This role is perfect for a motivated cook with strong fundamentals and a drive to learn and grow. Bar Sprezzatura is a unique escape into Italian culture and cuisine, located in the historic Heathman Hotel. It is a bustling lunch spot by day and aperitivo and cicchetti bar at night, offering guests a transportive experience to coastal Italy.

Requirements

2-4 years’ experience in a fine dining or casual fine dining high volume kitchen
Ability to communicate effectively with management, guests, and your peers
Extensive knowledge of food and cooking techniques including knifework, plating, portioning, and precision cooking
A positive, “can do” attitude
Knowledge of kitchen safety protocols
Ability to learn and retain information quickly
Intellectual curiosity
Ability to work clean, organized, and as part of a team
Able to move and lift 40 pounds at a time
At least 18 years of age
Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period
