About The Position

Committee Chophouse, located in Omaha's vibrant Blackstone District within the Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel, is seeking a skilled, driven, and experienced Line Cook. Known for serving some of the best steak in Omaha, Committee Chophouse delivers an elevated dining experience in a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere. The kitchen plays an essential role in creating memorable experiences for every guest, from intimate dinners to private dining. We are looking for a cook who knows their way around a professional kitchen, takes pride in their craft, and thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary fundamentals, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to consistently execute dishes to a high standard.

Requirements

Previous professional line cook experience in a high-volume or upscale restaurant environment
Strong knowledge of professional cooking techniques and kitchen operations
Experience working multiple stations and handling the demands of busy service
Excellent knife skills and strong understanding of food preparation
Ability to execute consistently under pressure while maintaining quality and attention to detail
Dependable, team-oriented, and professional work ethic
Passion for food, hospitality, and delivering an exceptional guest experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
Strong attention to detail and a passion for cooking
Willingness to learn and take direction from senior chefs
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

Culinary arts education or relevant training is a plus

Responsibilities

Execute menu items consistently and efficiently according to Committee Chophouse standards
Prepare and cook high-quality steaks, proteins, sauces, sides, and other menu components
Maintain proper cooking temperatures, portioning, seasoning, and presentation
Complete prep work accurately and efficiently to ensure service readiness
Work multiple stations as needed while maintaining speed, quality, and organization
Communicate effectively with chefs and fellow kitchen team members throughout service
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation
Monitor product quality and communicate inventory or prep needs to leadership
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards
Assist with maintaining consistency and quality across all dishes leaving the kitchen
Support the culinary team with additional kitchen responsibilities as needed
