About The Position

Old Town Tequila Factory is seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook to deliver consistent breakfast service and contribute to the development of a new culinary experience. This role is for a cook who values technique, organization, food safety, and presentation, and is eager to learn and execute a newly developed menu. The Line Cook will manage an assigned station, prepare ingredients, cook menu items to order, maintain a safe and organized workspace, and collaborate with culinary and service teams to ensure quality food delivery.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of cooking techniques, sanitation, food storage, and kitchen safety.
  • Ability to follow written recipes and verbal instructions.
  • Food-handler certification, or the ability to obtain one within the required timeframe.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift, carry, bend, reach, and work around hot equipment.
  • Availability for early mornings, weekends, holidays, training, and potentially expanded hours following the restaurant relaunch.

Nice To Haves

  • Stay organized and focused during fast-paced service.
  • Accept feedback and enjoy learning new techniques and recipes.
  • Communicate early when you need support.
  • Respect food, equipment, coworkers, and the guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, sanitize, stock, and maintain an assigned cooking station.
  • Prepare and execute breakfast and other menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Grill, sauté, fry, broil, bake, assemble, and plate dishes as assigned.
  • Complete light preparation work such as chopping, slicing, measuring, and portioning.
  • Monitor ticket times and communicate delays, shortages, or quality concerns.
  • Follow recipes, portion standards, plating guides, and temperature requirements.
  • Label, date, store, and rotate ingredients using FIFO procedures.
  • Follow food-safety, sanitation, knife-safety, and equipment-handling standards.
  • Maintain a clean workstation throughout the shift.
  • Work closely with servers, expo, prep cooks, dishwashers, and kitchen leadership.
  • Participate in training and menu-development activities as assigned.
  • Help reduce waste while protecting food quality and consistency.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to work alongside a culinary team creating something new.
  • Opportunities to expand stations, skills, responsibilities, and schedules for strong performers as the new menu and restaurant concept launch.
