About The Position

This position is responsible for efficiently and consistently preparing all menu items and specials with a strong focus on quality, presentation, taste, and attention to detail. The Line Cook will prepare food items according to ticket specifications, paying close attention to accuracy and allergen information. They will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, performing routine cleaning duties, and developing positive relationships with guests and employees. The role involves receiving ongoing training and guidance from culinary leadership and performing all duties in compliance with safety standards, health regulations, internal policies, and the Colorado Limited Gaming Act. The Line Cook must maintain alertness and awareness of restaurant operations, and communicate any concerns regarding food quality, selection, or variety to their supervisor. Other duties and special projects may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated cooking experience, preferably within a hospitality, restaurant, or gaming environment.
  • Demonstrated experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure.
  • Demonstrated experience problem solving, organizing, and prioritizing work.
  • Two (2) or more years of recent and related cooking experience, preferably within a hospitality, restaurant, or gaming environment.
  • Food Handler’s License, or equivalent.

  • Demonstrated ability to cook and prepare a wide variety of dishes.

Responsibilities

  • Reports to work as scheduled, on time, and ready to work.
  • Maintains and wears all uniforms properly, including nametag. Must wear a gaming license if in possession of one.
  • Efficiently and consistently prepares all menu items and specials with great attention to quality, presentation, taste, and other details.
  • Prepares large orders in a manner that preserves the quality of each plate and ensures the overall order is complete and served in a timely manner.
  • Prepares food items according to ticket specifications.
  • Pays close attention to making items accurately and accounting for any allergens.
  • Makes adjustments to provide the best overall dining experience to all customers.
  • Maintains a clean and well organized kitchen at all times.
  • Performs routine cleaning duties, including stocking, sweeping, and mopping floors.
  • Ensures all cleaning is thorough and complete at the end of each shift as directed.
  • Develops, maintains, and enhances positive relations and a positive image with all guests and employees.
  • Receives ongoing training, technical direction, and guidance from the Lead Cook, Sous Chef, Executive Chef, Floor Supervisor, and Restaurant Manager.
  • Performs all duties in compliance with all safety standards, health standards, all internal policies and procedures, and in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act.
  • Maintains alertness for performance of all responsibilities, and a general awareness of restaurant operations at all times.
  • Keeps their supervisor informed of any concerns regarding the quality, selection, and variety of all food.
  • Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed.
