About The Position

Liscio’s Italian Bakery, Inc. is seeking a part-time Line Cook for its new location in Glassboro, New Jersey. The Line Cook prepares and cooks menu items according to established recipes and standards, supports food safety and sanitation, and maintains a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen. The position reports to the Kitchen Manager / Food Service Manager and has no direct reports. The schedule is Saturday 10 a.m.–7:30 p.m., Sunday 9 a.m.–5:30 p.m., and Monday 10 a.m.–7:30 p.m. Weekend and holiday work is mandatory.

Requirements

• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous food preparation or line cook experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

• ServSafe certification is a plus but not required.
• Experience working in a high-volume kitchen environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes and standards.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation guidelines are met at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and storage areas.
• Assist with ingredient preparation, portioning, and stocking kitchen supplies as needed.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Follow safety and company policies, including proper use of kitchen equipment.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to support smooth kitchen operations.
