About The Position

At Magnolia, the Line Cook is responsible for preparing food to Magnolia specifications and quality expectations. This position plays a key role in contributing to guest satisfaction by following recipes and cooking food that meets Magnolia’s high standards. This position works from Magnolia Table in Waco, Texas. It reports to the Assistant Kitchen Manager and has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
0-1 years of related work experience preferred
Food Handler's license required upon hire
Must be available to work weekends, nights, special events, and holidays as business needs require
Strong customer service skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment required.
Ability to maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor while working with a sense of urgency required.

Responsibilities

Work as a team player and prepare high-quality food orders in a timely and efficient manner
Possess a through working understanding of all recipes, restaurant standards, and visual standards for each product
Ensure adherence to Magnolia recipes
Carry out instructions of kitchen management
Operate equipment safely and in line with best-use practices for each piece of equipment
Check with management any time quality of products is in question
Anticipate guest needs and provide exceptional guest service
Communicate with management regarding status of products, quality control issues, problems with equipment, or unusual conditions; adhering to established loss prevention and inventory control procedures
Ensure stations are stocked throughout shift and assist in prep when necessary
Evaluate and modify processes in order to improve efficiency and quality of service
Handle, prepare, and store food in ways that prevent foodborne illnesses and ensure compliance with all food safety standards
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Perform other duties as assigned
